Terms of Service

The short version

This site is marketing material. Reading it creates no contract, and nothing on it is a binding offer. If we work together, that is governed by a separate agreement we both sign, and that agreement wins over anything written here.

Using the site

By using lifonlabs.com you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

You agree not to:

• Use the site unlawfully, or to break anyone else's rights.
• Attempt to gain access to systems or data you have not been given access to.
• Interfere with the site's operation, including by overloading it deliberately.
• Scrape it at a volume that degrades it for other people, or in breach of our robots.txt.
• Submit anything through the contact form that is unlawful, abusive, or sent on someone else's behalf without their knowledge.

What is on the site, and what it means

Descriptions of services, process and past work are provided to help you decide whether to talk to us. They are a general description, not a specification and not a quotation. Scope, timeline and price for any actual project come from a written proposal, not from these pages.

Case studies describe work delivered for the named clients. Where results or figures are attributed to a client, that attribution is stated on the page itself. Past work is not a promise of comparable outcomes for anyone else; the circumstances differ every time.

Intellectual property

Ours

The design, code, text and images of this site belong to Lifon Labs or are used with permission. You may read, print and share pages for your own use or to evaluate us. You may not republish substantial parts of the content as your own, or use our name or logo to suggest a relationship that does not exist.

Our clients'

Client names, logos, screenshots and product imagery belong to those clients and appear here with their permission. Nothing on this site gives you any right to use them.

Yours

What you send through the contact form stays yours. We use it to respond to you and to discuss the work, and for nothing else. We do not need, and do not take, any licence to your ideas in order to reply to an enquiry.

Client work is separate

Every engagement runs under its own written agreement covering scope, deliverables, fees, timelines, confidentiality, intellectual property and liability. Where that agreement and these terms disagree, that agreement governs. Nothing here varies it and nothing here should be read as replacing it.

Links to other sites

We link to clients' live products and occasionally to other resources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, their availability or their handling of your data.

Availability

We aim to keep the site up and correct, and we do not guarantee either. It may be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control, and we may change or remove content at any time without notice.

No warranty

The site is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including as to accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability, to the fullest extent the law allows.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lifon Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of this site, including lost profits or lost data.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Privacy

What we collect and why is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and the version published here is the one that applies to your use of the site.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, and the courts there have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
